7-Eleven AU
7-Eleven in Japan is amazing. But in Australia…they’re the place most well known for getting your darts, a pie and a tall cup of iced sugar water. With the new brand positioning, it kind of made them out to be something they weren’t. Wonderfully Easier? I never got it. It just needed to be 7-Eleven ‘Easy’. More about the convenience, less about flowery stuff. The Summer campaign work I was responsible for crafting isn’t bad and there’s some other assorted bits and pieces for the brand done in my time there. I would always try and cut though the noise to simplify things while sticking to the semiotics and general patterns everyone recognizes from them already. Often internal bureaucracy agency side can create confusion. I always endeavoured to keep it all clean, meaningful and simple.
