7-Eleven

7-Eleven wanted to find a way to communicate that their coffee is ‘in fact’ made with real coffee beans. I saw this as all a big joke and an opportunity to create something weird and fun. I’d unintentionally done some previous research (ex-girlfriends) into how some women plaster their faces with all sorts of snake oil to fight aging. Or, let’s be honest, try to look like one of those Kardashian freakshows. Anyhow, even though meta-advertising as a genre is getting a bit tiring, I’m still proud to say I did this. Could have been a bit more satirical, but it turned out okay. People still remember it, which is saying something because no-one remembers anything made by advertising really. It picked up at Cannes and kept the agency relevant during the Covid dip.
