Seagulls are kamikaze rats. I once had a seagull that would come harass me and my housemate on our balcony when I was living in Sydney. He was unusually fat with all talk and no fight. We called him Steven Seagull. One day, the little weirdo started truffling through my housemates ashtray of dead disco lettuce. We tried to shoo him off, but he was on a path of self destruction neither of us could stop. Sometimes, the only person that can help - is yourself. RIP Steve. Anyhow, this idea came across my desk, and after hitting up a mate at the CSIRO to get some actual science backed insights on how to hack the biology of sea bird eyes, it came out pretty good. It signaled a high point during my time at Clemenger Sydney. I still like it.
